Support Us
Essex Integration relies on volunteers and donations to continue providing practical help and advice to refugees, asylum seekers, and migrant workers across Essex. There are many ways to get involved—whether by sharing your time, skills, or financial support.
Volunteer With Us
You don’t need qualifications—just a willingness to help.
Teach English – You don’t have to be a teacher, just patient and encouraging. Our lead tutor provides lesson plans and materials, or you can support learners online.
Help with digital learning – Support users of Flash Academy, an online language tool. This can include monitoring progress, setting tests, sending reminders, and providing encouragement.
Become a befriender – Help a refugee family adjust to life in Essex. This could mean practising English, attending local events together, or offering practical help like gardening.
Share your skills – We need artists, knitters, and people with practical skills who can run workshops to help others learn. If you have a skill to share, we'd love to hear from you.
Donate Financially
Financial support allows us to continue providing essential services to refugees, asylum seekers, and migrant workers as they rebuild their lives in Essex. Your donation can directly help families access housing, employment support, language learning, and essential everyday needs.
Even small contributions can make a big difference:
£5 provides learning materials for an English language student.
£20 supports a newcomer with essential transport costs to attend job interviews or integration workshops.
£50 funds a skills workshop, helping refugees gain employment and independence.
£100 enables us to run multiple language classes, supporting learners in gaining confidence and communication skills.
A one-off donation helps us cover urgent needs, while monthly contributions allow us to plan ahead, expand our reach, and provide consistent, long-term support to the people who need it most.
Your generosity directly impacts lives, helping people not just to survive, but to thrive in their new communities. Thank you for your support.
Donate Items
At this time, we cannot accept furniture, electrical goods, clothing, or bedding due to storage limits, hygiene regulations, and safety requirements. However, we welcome donations of other essential items—please get in touch to check what we currently need.
